About Dr. Rega
Dr. Matt Rega is a district administrator, former teacher and principal who is passionate about assessment and grading practices, as well as how these practices translate to effective instruction. Matt serves as a consultant for the Solution Tree Assessment Center and is currently the director of assessment and evaluation for the Minnetonka Public Schools in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
Dr. Rega has presented locally and nationally on topics including
authentic assessment practices, personalized learning, MTSS, and language immersion.
Matt is currently a member of ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) and ACTFL (American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages. He has presented his doctoral dissertation at ACTFL on the topic of language immersion, and regularly presents on Minnetonka’s Language Immersion assessment model at ACTFL’s national convention.
Dr. Rega received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dana College in Blair, Nebraska, his Masters of Science and Doctorate degrees from the University of Nebraska Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.
